Why is it better to track good habits than count calories?

Most registered dietitians, nutritionists, and health professionals will tell you NOT to count calories because not all calories are created equal, it’s impossible to count accurately, and counting calories tends to be  more cumbersome with fresh, healthy food.

Instead of counting calories, we’re simply asking you to track good choices—one habit at a time—with a simple on-app check-in. We know monitoring your habits with simple goals works (e.g. Fitbit, runkeeper, etc), and all you need to do is track the one habit you’re working on. By celebrating small daily wins and focusing on progress over perfection, you’ll build sustainable, lifelong habits, and actually enjoy the process along the way.
